“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
~1 Peter 4:10

Hundreds of St. Pius X parishioners volunteer every year for the benefit of both the St. Pius parish family as well as the larger community beyond. Each one of use has been afforded various gifts and talents by our Creator and in our natural desire to grow ever closer to Him we offer these gifts back through the Church. Thousands of hours of generous service are given annually in order to enhance the celebration of Mass and other Sacraments as liturgical ministers and musicians, better the greater community through social outreach programs, form current and future generations in the faith through religious education programs, sponsor adults entering the Church through the RCIA program, and assist homebound parishioners by bringing to them the greatest gift of our Catholic faith, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

Among the many contributions given by members of our parish:
  • 120 musicians gave 15,000 hours, leading parishioners in song and music at Masses and liturgical services.
  • 250 extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist gave 2,500 hours to share the presence of Christ with other parishioners.
  • 88 Lectors gave over 625 hours sharing the Word of God with our parishioners.
  • 73 Ministers of Hospitality gave over 1,800 hours welcoming and assisting parishioners at Sunday liturgies.
  • 108 altar servers gave 936 hours assisting during Mass.
  • More than 200 parishioners gave 7,500 hours to help educate our children in the faith through religious education programs.
  • 75 adult and youth volunteers gave over 1,500 hours preparing for and leading Vacation Bible School for more than 300 of the parish’s young children.
  • 19 parishioners gave 1,560 hours to the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, spending 390 hours in training and 1,170 hours teaching children.
  • 50 parishioners gave 4,500 hours as sponsors and team members for RCIA.
  • 25 parishioners gave 600 hours taking communion to the homebound.
