This fund was created to honor Elaine Holmes and her dedication and leadership in shaping the foundational mission of Saint Pius X Catholic School and her steadfast commitment to provide comprehensive student support services to meet the individual educational needs of all students.

Proceeds from this fund supplement training and services that support children with unique learning needs at Saint Pius X Catholic School.

• The funds are held by the Catholic Community Foundation of Northeast Indiana, a nonprofit investment partner of parishes, ministries, schools and other nonprofits in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. The foundation also works with individuals who want to leave a legacy to support the Catholic institutions and causes important to them.

• Your gift can provide long-term financial support to ensure the vitality and sustainability of SPX, and if given to one of our endowed funds, the principal of each fund remains intact. Only the income earned on each fund's assets are used.

• A governing board, made up of primarily members of the Saint Pius X Finance Council, oversees and administers each fund's earnings.

Planned Giving is a form of stewardship of sacrificial giving that allows you to leave a financial legacy for future generations of Saint Pius X parishioners. Your gift can assure that the annual commitment you have already made to Saint Pius X will continue after your death.

Depending on the type of gift, there may be tax benefits such as charitable deductions or reductions in estate taxes.

How can I donate to the fund(s)?

The parish recognizes that your first responsibility is to take care of your family and their needs. You are encouraged to:

• Pray for guidance in making your gift decision.

• Consult with your lawyer, financial planner and/or tax advisor. They can help you decide on the most appropriate gift for your personal situation.

• Establish an estate plan, will and/or trust to protect your assets so they last your entire lifetime; to transfer your assets at death with the least amount of cost to your heirs; and to arrange ownership of your assets and ensure they go to whom you choose.

• Consider deferred gift options that will provide you with income during your lifetime.

• Contact the parish office to fill out the necessary forms.

• Cash (Donate cash directly to one of Saint Pius X's funds.)
