~ THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI ~




 

A family-friendly Eucharistic Procession and Festival will be held in the afternoon of the Feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday, June 19, in Warsaw, IN. As our diocese enters into the three-year Eucharistic Revival for the Catholic Church in the United States, please join us in renewing our belief in and devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION DETAILS:

• Music begins at 2:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Parish
• The Eucharistic Procession will depart at 3:00 p.m., led by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades
• The route is 2.8 miles long and is wheelchair/stroller accessible
• The procession will pause halfway at Central Park for prayer and a Eucharistic blessing
• Choral pieces will be sung at stations, plus Eucharistic hymns sung by the faithful while walking
• The procession ends at 5:00 p.m. with Benediction at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
• Throughout the day, shuttles will provide transportation between each location for those who cannot participate in or walk the full route 

FESTIVAL DETAILS:

• The Festival will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
• Music will feature bilingual, Catholic singer Kairy Marquez and other local musicians
• Food will be available to purchase, including American and ethnic cuisine
• A Kid Zone will include family-friendly fun for kids of all ages, featuring bounce houses and more
• Explore the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis
• All sales at the Festival will be CASH ONLY

TRANSPORTATION FROM SAINT PIUS X:

• A coach bus departing from Saint Pius X, with limited spots is available
• Departure time from SPX:  1:30 p.m.
• Depart from Warsaw, to return to SPX: 6:30 p.m.
• Cost: $10/adult, $5/student, $30/family (max), small children on laps ride free
• Reserve your spot HERE!
• Bus capacity is limited to 56 seats, so do not delay in reserving your spot(s)!

PARKING INFORMATION:

• Plan extra time for parking if you drive on your own
• Parking will be available at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, 0.8 miles from Sacred Heart Parish
• Participants may walk or take a shuttle from their own vehicles to the start of the procession
• Shuttles will take people back to their cars after the procession

 
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• Participant registration is appreciated (but not necessary) by June 6 to be able to plan for food
• Volunteers are needed to assist with the event—various shifts are available for people of all ages
• Parishioner and SPX point person, Mary Jane Danner (mj5202@att.net or 574-276-7790), is looking for a bus captain and is available to answer questions
