Hospitality Ministers exhibit a warm welcome that reflects the love of God to all worshippers helping them to enter more easily and more fully into the Eucharistic celebration.
Volunteers wishing to become Hospitality Ministers must attend a training session.
They then submit Mass preference information and dates of unavailability for each schedule period as requested by the Liturgy and Music office.
On average, Hospitality Ministers are scheduled two or more times per month, depending on Mass preference and number of other volunteers available for the same Mass(es).
Before and during the Liturgy, they greet and seat parishioners, assist the physically disabled, assist with the Procession of the Gifts, assist with the Communion Procession, distribute worship aids, bulletins and any other items needed for full and active participation in the Holy Mass.
After Mass ministers clean up their assigned sections and prepare them for the next Mass.
