Our next Saint Vincent de Paul food collection weekend will be Saturday, March 1 - Sunday, March 2!
We are experiencing a high volume of requests and more food donations would be appreciated! The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a Catholic lay organization which allows people to live their faith and grow spiritually through person-to-person service to those in need. It is this personalized outreach that makes the work of SVdP unique. The Saint Pius X Conference is one of 18 local parishes that together assist more than 84,000 individuals each year in South Bend, Mishawaka and Granger. Vincentians believe that blessings of time, talent or treasure are to be shared with the less fortunate.
Through the generous response from parishioners, volunteers are able to stock the Saint Pius X food pantry so that our Vincentians have a ready supply of food items to make home visits.
How you can be involved as a Saint Pius X Vincentian:
In keeping with the stewardship goals of the parish, the Saint Pius X Conference also manages the donations in the parish green envelopes distributed monthly. These funds are used for direct assistance to Saint Pius X parishioners and to buy food for the pantry.
